Post: Personal Assistant / Care Worker
Hours: Total support: 50 hours per week (shared across the team). Includes day, overnight and weekend work. Flexible rota across team members.
Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
Description
We are looking to build a small, reliable team of up to 4 Personal Care Assistants to support a 13-year-old boy in Stirlingshire with complex needs in a family home environment. This is a highly rewarding role for the right individuals who are committed, attentive, and genuinely caring.
Tasks will include
- Personal care and daily support
- Support feeding via gastrostomy (training provided)
- Monitoring comfort, positioning, and wellbeing
- Recognising signs of distress (e.g. seizures, discomfort)
- Following detailed care routines exactly as instructed
- Maintaining a calm, safe, and positive environment
- Accurate record keeping and communication
Essential Qualities
- Physically capable of assisting with moving and handling (training provided)
- Loyal and trustworthy
- Honest and reliable
- Positive with a strong mental attitude
- Highly attentive to detail and able to follow instructions precisely
- Excellent with timekeeping
- Eager to learn and develop skills
- Able to adapt to a child with very limited understanding and communication
Experience
- Experience in care is beneficial but not essential
- Full training will be provided for the right candidates
