Support Worker & Senior Support Worker – Complex Needs in Worthing, West Sussex | £13.85–£14.75 per hour + benefits | Full training | Career progression

Looking for a rewarding role where you can truly change someone’s life every day? We are recruiting Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to join our dedicated SDR team in a specialist supported living service in Worthing, providing highly personalised 1:1 support.

This is a meaningful role supporting a young individual with autism, a learning disability, and mental health conditions including psychosis. You will play a vital role in providing calm, consistent, and compassionate support to promote independence, wellbeing, and positive daily experiences.

You will play a key role in supporting community access, emotional wellbeing, life skills development, and creating structured, positive days.

Available Roles

  • Support Worker - £13.85 per hour (reviewed annually)
    36 hours per week (Days)
    17.94 hours per week (Nights)
    Full UK driving licence required for day roles (held 1+ year, automatic accepted)
  • Senior Support Worker - £14.75 per hour (reviewed annually)
    36 hours per week (Days)
    Full UK driving licence required (held 1+ year, automatic accepted)

Support Worker Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centred daily support
  • Support routines, hobbies, and community activities
  • Promote independence and confidence building
  • Support emotional wellbeing and de-escalation where required
  • Maintain accurate records and follow care plans
  • Support safe community access and driving (day roles)

Senior Support Worker Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the support worker team
  • Deliver consistent, trauma-informed care
  • Mentor and guide staff on shift
  • Promote independence and positive outcomes
  • Support community access and transport
  • Maintain high-quality documentation and care standards
