We are recruiting a Night Care Assistant to join our dedicated night team at a small, 26-bed residential care home in Worthing, West Sussex. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys elderly care, values meaningful relationships, and wants to work in a calm, supportive, homely environment where every resident is known individually. Because of our small size, you will build real relationships and make a genuine difference to residents’ comfort, safety, and wellbeing every night.

Location: Worthing, West Sussex

Salary: £13.45 per hour (reviewed annually) + weekend enhancement

Hours: 24 - 36 hours per week (fixed rolling 2-week rota)

Contract: Part-time, Full time permanent

The Role – Night Care Assistant

As a Night Care Assistant, you will support residents throughout the night, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. You will be part of a reliable night team delivering high standards of care in a calm overnight setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate overnight care and support
  • Ensure residents’ safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the night
  • Support personal care needs where required
  • Administer or support medication (where trained)
  • Respond appropriately to residents’ needs during the night
  • Maintain accurate records and handovers
  • Work as part of a supportive night team

Who we are looking for

  • Experience as a Care Assistant or Night Care Assistant (elderly care preferred)
  • Calm, patient, and reliable approach
  • Confident working night shifts independently and as part of a team
  • Medication trained (or willing to be trained)
  • Strong communication and attention to detail
  • Genuine passion for elderly care
