Join our friendly teams at Downs House and Stroud House Residential Care Homes in Petersfield. We are looking for caring and reliable individuals to support older people to live with dignity, comfort and kindness. Whether you are experienced in care or looking for a rewarding new career, we will provide full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Available Roles

  • Female Care Assistant – Day Shift (peripatetic) Downs House & Stroud House – 24 hours per week – £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements (Drivers required to cover both homes)
  • Female Care Assistant – Night Shift Downs House – 36 hours per week – £13.70 per hour + weekend enhancements
  • Female Senior Care Assistant - Night Shift Downs House – 36 hours per week – £14.20 per hour + weekend enhancements

About Our Homes

Downs House is a welcoming 46-bed residential care home providing high-quality, person-centred elderly care in a calm and supportive environment. Stroud House is a specialist 25 bed residential care home supporting older people, including those living with complex dementia.

Your Role

Care Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Supporting residents with personal care and daily living
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Assisting with mobility and wellbeing checks
  • Supporting residents living with dementia
  • Maintaining accurate care records
  • Working as part of a supportive care team

Senior Care Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Leading shifts and supporting the care team
  • Administering medication
  • Updating care plans and records
  • Liaising with families and healthcare professionals
  • Supporting and mentoring staff
  • Promoting high standards of person-centred care
