How to prepare for a job interview at SDR

Know the Company Values

Before your interview, take some time to understand SDR Living's core values: Kindness, Dignity & Respect, Calmness, Creativity, and Responsibility. Think about how you can demonstrate these values through your past experiences or in your approach to the role.

Show Your Cleaning Experience

Even if you don't have direct experience, think about any relevant skills or tasks you've done that relate to housekeeping. Be ready to discuss how you maintain cleanliness and organisation in your own space or previous jobs, as this will show your commitment to high standards.

Prepare for Teamwork Questions

Since communication and teamwork are key in this role, prepare examples of how you've successfully worked with others in the past. Think about times when you’ve had to collaborate or support a team member, and be ready to share those stories.

Demonstrate Empathy and Understanding

Given the nature of SDR Living's work with vulnerable individuals, it’s important to convey your understanding and empathy during the interview. Prepare to discuss why you believe these qualities are essential in a housekeeping role and how you would apply them in your day-to-day tasks.
