We are seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Male Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a young individual living with an acquired brain injury and epilepsy in Hailsham. This is much more than a care role. You'll help someone build confidence, enjoy new experiences, maintain their independence, and take part in activities they love. Every day is different, whether you're supporting a trip out in the community, attending appointments, enjoying outdoor activities, or helping to maintain a positive daily routine.

Available Roles

  • Day Support Worker: 29 hours per week on average - Working a rolling 4-week rota of 30.75 hours per week for three weeks, followed by 23.5 hours in the fourth week. £14.15 per hour.
  • Night Support Worker (Saturdays Only): 10.25 hours per week. £13.85 per hour.

What You'll Be Doing

As a valued member of our support team, you'll provide person-centred support tailored to the individual's needs and interests. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily routines and promoting independence.
  • Accompanying and driving to appointments and community activities.
  • Encouraging participation in hobbies and social opportunities.
  • Providing emotional reassurance and positive encouragement.
  • Supporting with personal care where required.
  • Maintaining a safe, structured, and enjoyable environment.

  • Community outings and local events

We're looking for someone who enjoys being active and engaging with others.

What We're Looking For

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).

Due to the specific needs of the person we support, this post is open to male applicants only. This is a Genuine Occupational Requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
