Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per year (depending on experience)
Location: East Sussex (candidates must be local or able to commute reliably)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Driving: Essential for supporting service users in the community
SDR Care is a growing, family-owned provider expanding its specialist supported living services. We are looking for an experienced Supported Living Manager to lead a brand-new, bespoke service supporting a young individual with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and episodes of dysregulated behaviour.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a service from the ground up – establishing culture, standards, and a skilled team from day one. As the Supported Living Manager, you will create a safe, positive, and empowering home environment, lead the team, and ensure person-centred care of the highest standard. Your leadership will make a real difference from day one.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, recruit, and induct a brand-new team
- Establish a safe, structured, and person-centred environment
- Support staff in de-escalation and positive behaviour approaches
- Uphold safeguarding and Mental Capacity Act principles
- Be primarily supernumerary while also joining the rota as needed
Who We’re Looking For
- Significant experience supporting or managing individuals with complex autism and dysregulated behaviours
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Mental Capacity Act principles
- Experience in environments where physical intervention may be required
- Resilience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proven leadership in high-need or intensive support settings
- Previous management experience preferred; experienced Deputy Managers (3+ years in similar settings) considered
- Supported living experience desirable
- Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) experience
