At SDR Care, we’re supporting a young person with autism, a learning disability, ADD, and episodes of dysregulated behaviour to build independence, confidence, and positive daily experiences in a brand-new home.

This is not a “tick box” care role - it’s about building trust, structure, and consistency from day one, and helping someone truly thrive in their new environment. You’ll be part of a small, consistent team who value calmness, humour, patience, and creativity in everyday support.

Salary: ÂŁ13.85 per hour

Days: 36.25–37.25 hours per week

Nights: 35.88 hours per week (rolling rota)

Contract: Permanent (full-time or part-time available)

Driving: Full UK driving licence preferred (community access required)

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be supporting a young person to enjoy a full, active and meaningful life, including:
  • Cinema trips and sensory-friendly sound activities
  • Beach walks, Forest School, climbing trees, rope swings and dens
  • Building large K’NEX structures (up to 18ft!)
  • Theme parks, rollercoasters and community outings
  • Structured car journeys and sensory-aware activities
