Weekend Laundry Assistant
Location: Patcham Nursing Home, Brighton
Salary: £13.45 per hour (weekend rate)
Hours: 14 hours per week | Saturdays & Sundays (08:00 - 14:00 or 09:00 - 15:00)
Help make a difference behind the scenes. At Patcham Nursing Home, we know that clean, fresh clothing and linen play an important part in helping our residents feel comfortable, respected and at home. We're looking for a reliable and caring Weekend Laundry Assistant to join our friendly team.
What you'll be doing:
- Washing, drying, ironing and folding residents' clothing and household linen
- Ensuring all laundry is correctly labelled and returned to the right resident
- Keeping the laundry area clean, organised and well maintained
- Working closely with the care team to support residents' individual needs
- Following infection control, COSHH and health & safety procedures at all times
What we're looking for:
- Reliable and organised with a good eye for detail
- Able to work independently and manage your workload
- Caring, respectful and committed to maintaining residents' dignity
- Previous laundry or care home experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
