We are recruiting warm, dedicated Health Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Patcham Nursing Home in Brighton. Patcham Nursing Home is a welcoming 30-bed residential and nursing home, providing high-quality, person-centred care in a calm and supportive environment. Each resident has a private en-suite room, supporting dignity, comfort, and independence. This is a great opportunity for compassionate care staff who want to work in a stable, well-supported home where residents are truly known as individuals.

Location: Patcham Nursing Home, Brighton

Salary: £13.70 per hour (reviewed annually) + weekend enhancement

Hours: Flexible hours available (part-time, full-time, and bank shifts)

Contract: Part-time / Full-time / Bank available

About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant at Patcham, you will support residents throughout their day, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing at all times. You will be part of a supportive care and nursing team, working together to deliver person-centred care in a structured and calm environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and daily support to residents
  • Support residents with dementia, complex needs, and palliative care
  • Assist with mobility, comfort, and wellbeing needs
  • Carry out regular welfare checks and respond to residents' needs
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behaviour
  • Maintain accurate care records and handovers
  • Contribute to a calm, safe, and caring environment
  • Work closely with nurses and care staff as part of a team

  • Experience in dementia or elderly care (desirable but not essential)
