My client is the fastest growing technology company who is seeking a Software Test Engineer / Lead for an initial 12-month contract.
As a Software Test Engineer / Lead you should have experience with both Manual and Automated Testing, Regression Testing or Performance Testing. As a team player you will be liaising with other multi-functional testers and software designer/developers to understand the business requirements and product functionality.
You will be involved in software test spec, manual test cases, automated test scripts and performance testing solutions that will need to be implemented throughout the delivery pipeline. Involvement in production and maintenance of system testing and systems integration of hardware and software components through to resolution of all faults found in the software.
You will ideally be degree educated in an engineering or science subject, with a good IT content and ISTQB® certification is desirable.
Experience:
- In software development/testing within a cutting-edge quality-conscious environment.
- Experience working with ISTQB® approach and standard.
- Experience in the creation and execution of unit, integration (end-to-end), regression and performance tests.
- Exposure to and hands-on experience with a range of tools supporting automated test, including User Interface testing, is an advantage.
- Experience in testing complex systems built using modern programming languages – ideally C#.
- Experience of working in environments where regular builds, unit tests and integration testing are the norm.
- Candidate able to contribute to these activities.
- Experience of system fault-finding, diagnosing to hardware or software subsystem level.
- Experience of using version control, change control and code quality control processes.
- Experience of general computer and peripheral configuration, and common mechanisms for computer communication and control over external components.
- Experience of using Test Management or ALM tools to design, execute and maintain test cases (such as – Siemens Polarion, MS Test Manager, HP Quality Centre/ALM).
- Experience with Ranorex Studio Automation tool would be desirable.
