SDL Car Parts is looking for a Parts Sales Advisor to join our Barnsley branch. We operate a family‑owned motor factor company with 13 branches, supporting over 1,000,000 deliveries per year and generating more than £30 million in annual turnover.
Working hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5 × 8.5 h). Working time is covered between 7 am‑6 pm, with an additional 5 h on alternate Saturdays according to the rota. A 30‑minute meal break is provided.
Responsibilities:
- Provide products, information and meet customer requirements via telephone and sales counter.
- Ensure the products supplied are 100% correct to customer requirements.
- Deliver high‑quality customer service day‑in‑day‑out.
- Communicate offers and promotions to the customer network.
- Work closely with the logistics department to ensure timely delivery of parts.
- Represent the company and maintain high standards of service.
- Primarily local branch‑based work.
Qualifications:
- Excellent team player with a desire to succeed.
- Motor‑factor sales experience or strong interest in cars, mechanical knowledge, and a keen interest in sales and upselling.
- Computer‑literate with basic IT skills.
- Experience with MAM software (or similar) and OE cataloguing sites is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, even under pressure.
- Passion for delivering top‑class customer service.
- Numeracy and literacy.
- Professional manner and smart personal appearance.
