SDI International is a global procurement and workforce solutions partner helping organizations optimize, tail, spend, strengthen strategic sourcing and manage extended workforce programs. Founded in 1992, SDI is a woman-owned, woman-managed organization grounded in strong principles and long-standing relationships. We turn fragmented processes into high-performing operating models that deliver measurable, sustained value.

Currently we are looking for a Commercial Contracts Specialist to own the full contract lifecycle for SDI ́s sister company across both Consulting and Workforce lines of business. This is a newly created role designed to separate commercial negotiation from Account Management. The Specialist will partner with Account Managers on client engagements, act as the commercial subject matter expert, and own negotiations through to execution β€” reporting to the CRO with a dotted line to the General Counsel.

Job Description – Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all MSA, SOW, and rate card negotiations with clients across Consulting and Workforce, balancing commercial position with client experience.
  • Negotiate contract terms within a defined authority band; escalate non-standard positions through the appropriate approval path.
  • Manage the end-to-end contracting process β€” from initial client introduction through executed agreement, including renewals and amendments.
  • Identify commercial risks in client-proposed terms and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure a seamless client experience, while serving as the primary liaison between Sales and Legal.
  • Track negotiation cycle times and recommend process improvements to reduce time-to-execution.

Requirements – Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial contract negotiation experience in professional services, IT outsourcing, staffing, BPO, or adjacent industries.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and rate-based commercial agreements with enterprise clients.
  • Direct experience interfacing with client procurement and/or legal teams during negotiations.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and French (spoken and written) β€” required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contract structures (rate cards, indemnification, liability caps, payment terms).
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to spot inconsistencies, gaps, and ambiguities in draft agreements.
  • Post-secondary education in business, law, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Working during Eastern Time work hours is required.

At SDI we are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and supported. If you are a skilled negotiator ready to take ownership of the full contract lifecycle, we invite you to apply and join our growing team.
