Senior Fabric Developer

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Dataflows, Lakehouses, and Power BI.
• Architect and optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain semantic models and datasets for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders; participate in client workshops, requirement gathering, and solution design.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric and its components (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Power BI, etc.).
• Strong proficiency in SQL, DAX, and Power Query (M).
• Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL).
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, and BI architecture.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Power BI Data Analyst Associate) are desirable.
• Experience in consulting environments or client-facing roles; knowledge of AI/ML integration within analytics platforms; understanding of data mesh and data fabric concepts is a plus.
