Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a dedicated, ambitious and self‑motivated sales professional with a passion for helping customers achieve more with Data, Analytics and AI. You will have experience in new business sales, ideally in a services‑based organisation, and be ready to take your career to the next level.

What you will do

As a BDR, you will be responsible for driving outbound sales campaigns and activities, opening new and existing conversations with prospects and clients within our target industries. You will work closely with our sales and delivery teams to articulate the relevant SDG Group value proposition and advance opportunities through the sales cycle. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will receive coaching, feedback, and a clear path for promotion to the Business Development Executive role.

In this role, you will:

  • Drive new business activity, predominantly in the form of campaign execution.
  • Build a pipeline of new prospect meetings that support new business growth.
  • Support the proposal development stage.
  • Work closely with key technology partners to further develop new business opportunities.

Skills required

  • At least 12 months experience in a similar position.
  • Clear understanding of call management, active listening, fact‑finding questions, and defining next steps.
  • Ability to set and execute a sales strategy or campaign at the client and opportunity level.
  • Ability to participate in events and network with potential clients and partners.
  • Ability to work on an existing account plan and keep momentum by opening new opportunities in current contacts or new business units.
  • Familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools.
  • Deep understanding of the industry sectors you focus on, with the ability to outline case studies and relevant success stories.
  • Ability to articulate the "why now" when approaching specific accounts, sub‑verticals, or regions.
  • Ability to present yourself as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in your industry and build your personal brand via community and LinkedIn presence.
  • Understanding of your role and contribution to the overall Sales and Marketing team's commercial numbers, with accountability for pipeline forecasts and personal development.
  • Ability to build an internal network of contacts to support sales activity.
  • Accountability for owning the end‑to‑end prospecting cycle.
