Hours: Full-time, Permanent | 40 hours/week (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Call-Out Rota: 1 in every 5 weeks

SDG Access Ltd are a family run business with over 30 year’s experience, specialising in Industrial, Commercial Doors, Gates and Barrier systems. We are seeking an experienced door engineer to join our growing engineering team, providing installation, service and repairs to our existing customer base.

The ideal candidate will be a competent engineer with proven experience in delivering repairs and installations on a range of industrial and commercial doors, as well as gate and barrier products. We are looking for someone who is confident, has good interpersonal skills and is comfortable outlining further works to the client. The role requires a flexible approach and a willingness to work overtime.

  • Minimum 40 hours per week 7.30am – 16.00pm (plus overtime and call out rota)
  • Overtime at time and a half
  • Door to door payment

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Installation, Maintenance and Repairs on all types of Industrial, Commercial Doors, Gates and Barriers systems, electrical knowledge is essential
  • BSEN16005/ DHF Level 2 Automatic Gate & Traffic Barrier / Level 2 DHF Industrial & Garage Doors / CSCS / PASMA / IPAF / Asbestos or the equivalent
  • Working in a similar role in an industrial and commercial setting
  • Experience working at height
  • Working to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Using own initiative and working as part of a team
  • 3 Years + experience – Install and Servicing is essential
  • Call out rota (1 in 5 weeks currently)
  • Due to the nature of the work and client base, all employees will need to be DBS checked.

Hourly rate is dependant on ability, qualifications and experience.
