We are looking for a motivated and organised Sheet Metal Programmer to join our manufacturing team. This role involves nesting and programming parts for laser cutting, tracking orders through production, and ensuring parts are completed and dispatched on time. The successful candidate will work closely with Production, Planning, and Fabrication teams to support day-to-day manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create nests and programs for laser cutting
- Process sheet metal component orders from start to finish
- Expedite urgent and priority parts through production
- Ensure parts are cut, pressed, fabricated, and dispatched on time
- Work closely with material preparation and fabrication teams
- Help maximise material usage and reduce waste
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail
- Experience with nesting or CAD/CAM software is desirable
- Experience with Trumpf Boost software would be an advantage but is not essential.
Hours of work
Day Shift Monday to Thursday 7.00am- 16.00pm, Friday 7.00am- 13.00pm 40 hours per week
