This role of a Press Brake Operative is based in our factory in Toome. We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Press Brake Operatives to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend and form metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal materials
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
- Select appropriate tooling and adjust machine settings for each job
- Perform quality checks to ensure components meet required specifications
- Measure and inspect finished products using gauges and measuring tools
- Maintain production efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Report any damage, defects, or safety concerns to management
- Support general yard and workshop duties as required
- General housekeeping and maintenance of equipment
Requirements
- Previous experience operating press brake machinery
- Ability to read and understand technical/engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., square tape measure, angle finder)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Night Shift Monday to Thursday 18.00pm- 04.30am (Shift Allowance added)
