This role of a Laser Operator is based in our factory in Toome. We are seeking reliable and hardworking Laser Operatives to support our daily operations. In this role, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting machinery, ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in supporting production targets while maintaining a strong focus on safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor laser cutting machines in line with production requirements.
  • Set up machinery, including loading materials and adjusting settings.
  • Ensure products meet quality standards and carry out basic inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and targets.
  • Nesting programmes for production, always following all health and safety procedures.
  • Reporting any damage, defects, or safety concerns to management.
  • Supporting general yard and workshop duties as required.
  • General housekeeping and maintenance of equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating laser cutting machinery (e.g. CNC/laser systems).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices within a manufacturing environment.
  • Stopa knowledge preferable, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours of work: Various shifts available, 40 hours per week.
