The role is a forklift support operator assisting the paint department and production shop floor. We are seeking reliable and hardworking Forklift Operative to support our daily operations. This role involves operating forklifts to move, load, and store goods efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. Assisting with the pre-Assembly of some parts required for the paint department will also be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklift.
  • Load and unload goods from lorries and containers.
  • Supply yard stored materials to the production line.
  • Assist with the supply of painted item requirement as per pick list or staff requests.
  • Transport materials to designated storage areas.
  • Stack and organise materials & stillages in line with yard requirements.
  • Carry out daily forklift daily checks and report any faults.
  • Support the Paint department staff to ensure the Carousel paint line is efficient.
  • Always follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Reporting any damage, defects, or safety concerns to manager.
  • Supporting general yard and workshop duties as required.
  • General housekeeping ensuring the site is safe.

Requirements

  • Forklift experience.
  • Forklift Licence desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment preferred.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Quality and safety awareness.
  • Motivated and willing to learn.

Hours of work - Day Shift Monday to Thursday 6.00am- 16.30pm, Friday 06.00 10am 40 hours per week £13p/h (+ Bonus available after 12 Weeks)
