SDC Trailers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as Blast & Suspension Team Leader. The Production Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process, ensuring products are assembled efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves supervising production staff, coordinating daily operations, and driving performance to meet output targets and deadlines.

You will ensure that all production activities are carried out in line with company procedures, health and safety requirements, and quality expectations. You will monitor workflow, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions to optimise productivity and minimise downtime. In addition, the Production Team Leader will be accountable for maintaining a safe working environment, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. They will play a key role in ensuring production schedules are met, resources are effectively utilised, and products are delivered on time and to specification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the assembly of products or components according to the specifications
  • Supervision of all Operatives within your area of responsibility in regards to the daily operations.
  • Responsibility of maintaining a clean & safe working environment
  • Meet daily production targets and deadlines
  • Strong Teamwork and communication
  • Inspect trailers for quality and safety compliance
  • Report defects or issues to supervisors
Essential Requirements
  • Previous experience in a production manufacturing industry.
  • Previous experience overseeing daily production manufacturing operations.
  • Adaptable
  • Driven and motivated to achieve daily targets
  • Continuous Improvement/solutions focused
  • Strong teamwork & communication skills
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Understanding how to operate machinery safely
  • Capable of prioritising workload
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Role requires standing for extended periods, lifting items & manual handling.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Team Leader role within a Production Manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience in management of people.
  • Driving Licence
Hours of work

Day Shift Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 16:30pm - 40 hrs/week - enjoy your Fridays off (with overtime available if you want it).
