Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
SDC is keen to speak with Assistant or Project Quantity Surveyors who enjoy a collective approach to success and maintain strong and mutually beneficial relationships with the supply-chain. Projects include refurbishment and new builds across the pharmaceutical, student accommodation, automotive, and commercial sectors with project values up to Β£70m.
As part of the project delivery team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the wider site team to deliver first-class commercial support through communication, teamwork, and accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of contracts, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
- Input into the procurement of key trades, working in line with the project procurement strategy.
- Managing supply chain relationships through building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Providing financial information for reporting purposes and attending CVR meetings.
- Undertaking measures and re-measures.
- Assisting in the management and control of variations.
- Valuing, certifying, and issuing any relevant payment notices for the subcontract works in accordance with the conditions of their subcontract.
- Ensuring that external valuations are submitted in accordance with the conditions of the main contract and that payments are received by the due date.
Experience and Qualities:
Proven experience of working on new build or refurbishment projects in a similar role.
Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
Experience in re-measurement of key trades packages.
Be sincere and approachable.
