Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Location: Bedford based and working across SDCs sites

This is a full time, permanent position

Overview:

SDC is recruiting for a qualified and experienced plumbing/heating engineer to respond to and resolve defects on a range of completed construction projects, as well as maintain various properties in the Company’s portfolio.

From time-to-time, you may also be involved in overseeing and checking the work of specialist mechanical contractors.

As the sole Plumbing and Heating Engineer for the business, duties will include:

• Attending completed commercial and residential properties to repair and maintain water, heating and drainage systems.
• Work with the project team to identify and diagnose defects and coordinate any specialist sub-contractors.
• Keeping records of time spent and materials purchase.
• Small-scale installation works
• Experience in ventilation and air conditioning systems would be beneficial but not essential
• Liaison with the client team and end users

About You:

• NVQ Level 3 Heating and Ventilation (or equivalent)
• Ideally hold a valid CSCS card
• Have minimum 4 years previous experience.
• Be available to work Monday – Friday, full-time.
• Hold full UK driving license.
