Role Overview:
Based on active construction sites within SDC’s operational region (Bedford, Cambridge, Oxford, and surrounding areas), the role will involve supporting Engineering Surveyors in the execution of precision surveying and site engineering tasks, including:
- Execution of topographic, measured building, and 3D laser scanning surveys.
- Establishment and verification of gridlines, benchmarks, and datums.
- Production of high-accuracy as-built survey records.
- Site setting-out using Leica TS16 or equivalent total stations, including establishment and transfer of survey control.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in construction surveying, site engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Formal technical qualification (HNC, BTEC, or equivalent) in civil engineering, surveying, or construction-related field.
- Proficiency with survey instrumentation and associated software preferred.
- Full UK driving licence (role requires frequent travel between multiple sites).
