Based at our Heckmondwike facility in West Yorkshire, we design and build mission‑critical hydraulic equipment for projects across the UK and worldwide.
The Role
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Fitter to assemble, install, and maintain advanced hydraulic systems. This is a hands‑on role involving both workshop and site work, supporting the delivery and servicing of bespoke engineered solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and test hydraulic systems (HPUs, cylinders, manifolds, pipework).
- Conduct quality checks and support factory acceptance testing.
- Install and commission equipment on customer sites, including motors and gearboxes.
- Perform hydraulic flushing, pressure testing, and servicing.
- Diagnose faults, carry out maintenance, and prepare service reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams, ensuring compliance and documentation.
- Represent DHX professionally during site visits (UK and occasional overseas travel).
