The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Wise Women address women’s fears and experiences of crime and violence through the provision of Personal Safety and Confidence Building courses and workshops in local Glasgow communities.

Our courses offer support, information, education, skill sharing, awareness raising and techniques for identifying avoiding and escaping potentially dangerous situations as well as challenging damaging women blaming attitudes and building women’s confidence and self-esteem.

The purpose of this post is to deliver Wise Women’s volunteering opportunities, courses and groups to women in the Glasgow area, to develop learning opportunities within the organisation and to link women to external trainingand learning organisations.

This post is office based.

You will be skilled in groupwork and will have experience of working with women who have experienced violence andabuse.

Wise Women is not a crisis service, but you will be required to have an understanding of survivors needs in agroupwork environment.

The nature of our work requires a commitment to the feminist analysis of male violence against women. Wise Women is asingle sex service provider under the Equality Act 2010.
