## Homework Club Facilitator - Primary* Govan Community Project* Part time* £26,026 pro-rata* On site: Govan* Closing 20th October 2026* Advertised from 30th September 2026* £5,949 per year for 8 hours per week. Core hours are Monday, Wednesday 3–6 pm. Flexibility required to attend a monthly meeting with the Homework Club team (1.30pm-3.30pm on a Monday or Wednesday). Our Homework Clubs are a community education project, primarily designed to support children andfamilies with lived experience of seeking refuge/the asylum process to better understand and engage with theScottish school curriculum. We are recruiting a Homework Club Facilitator to support the Primary-age group(6-12yrs+).You will be responsible for supporting and facilitating two after school club sessions for primary school agedchildren each week, creating and maintaining a safe, supportive and positive educational environment forparticipants to engage with their school work and academic development. The role also includesco-planning/facilitation of a range of formal and informal enrichment activities, including for the Spring,Summer and October school holiday programmes. You will also ensure the sessions and activities best meet theneeds, learning levels and interests of attendees.We are looking for someone who:* Has experience working/volunteering with primary school aged children in a youth work, community education or school-based setting* Has experience/knowledge of tailoring learning materials to best support primary school-aged children’s academic learning* Has knowledge/understanding of the barriers faced by individuals in the asylum process in relation to education and attainment* Has knowledge/experience of trauma-informed approaches to working with vulnerable children and families* Has knowledge/understanding of child protection procedures* Has a flexible working approach and excellent time management skills* Can work on own initiative and as part of a team, using strong interpersonal and communication skillsWhy join us?* An opportunity to use your skills for meaningful social change.* Be part of a supportive, values-led team.* Work collaboratively with a diverse and inspiring community.* Contribute to work that challenges injustice and builds community hope.Working with us* Office-based in Cardonald with public transport links/free parking.* 35 days annual leave (pro rata, including 6 floating public holiday days).* Contractual sick pay & Employee Assistance Programme.* Regular team wellbeing activities.**Our commitment to inclusion**We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation.
