Due to the rapid growth of the business and the crucial role product plays within the global expansion plans, Sculpted by Aimee is looking for a Senior Product Developer to join the Product function in their next phase of exciting growth. Reporting to the pending Product Director, the Senior Product Developer is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end development of innovative skincare products, from concept through commercialisation. This role combines strong formulation expertise with cross‑functional leadership, ensuring products meet performance, regulatory, quality, cost, and timeline requirements while aligning with brand strategy and market trends.
Accountabilities Include:
- Product Development & Formulation: Lead formulation and development of skincare and skincare hybrid cosmetic products (e.g. skincare, complexion). Translate marketing briefs and consumer insights into technically viable product concepts. Develop, optimise, and scale formulations for lab, pilot, and commercial production. Evaluate raw materials for performance, stability, safety, cost, and sustainability.
- Project Leadership: Own product development timelines and deliverables from concept to launch. Act as the technical lead in cross‑functional processes. Mentor and guide junior product developers and formulators.
- Testing & Validation: Design and interpret stability, compatibility, and performance testing. Troubleshoot formulation, scale‑up, and manufacturing issues. Support claims substantiation and consumer testing as required.
- Regulatory & Quality: Ensure formulations comply with global cosmetic regulations (EU, US, UK, etc.). Collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm product safety standards are met and all supporting documentation is accurate and up to date. Support audits and technical documentation (specs, SOPs, technical files).
- Market & Innovation: Stay up to date with cosmetic trends, new technologies, and ingredient innovations. Contribute to innovation pipelines and continuous improvement initiatives. Assess competitive products and recommend technical differentiators.

Experience Needed:
- 5–10+ years of developing formulations from first principles – emulsion, daily SPF and UV Filter expertise needed.
- Proven track record of successfully launched skincare/cosmetic products to market.

- 3rd level qualification in a scientific discipline.
