The Studio SCULPA is a RIBA-chartered, micro-boutique architecture practice specializing in one-of-a-kind, high-end residential projects. Since our founding in August 2025, we have been driven by a single vision: creating personal spaces that are as individual as the people who inhabit them. We don’t follow trends. Instead, we blend bold experimentation with technical precision, ensuring our imaginative ideas are grounded in a developer’s mindset for real-world deliverability. From transformative extensions to multi-million pound ground-up builds in Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster, we create architecture that tells a story.

The Opportunity

We are currently a small, ambitious team with plans to grow to 5-6 people by 2028. As our first Part 1 Architectural Assistant, you won’t just be a cog in a machine. You will be an integral part of a growing practice, working directly under our founder, who brings 20 years of prime residential experience, including leading award-winning projects like "The Curve" (awarded Design et al. Luxury Home of the Year 2024 while serving as Design Director at Nash Baker Architects).

We are looking for someone who:

  • Loves Residential Design: You have a genuine passion for the nuts and bolts of how people live and how homes are crafted.
  • Is Tech-Forward: You are proficient in industry-standard software and have a keen interest in how AI and advanced visualisation (VR and Digital Twins) can push creative boundaries.
  • Is a Digital Native: You will help us share our quietly rebellious voice through social media, helping the world see our work through an authentic lens.
  • Shares our Ethos: You value Contextual Narrative and Endurance, creating spaces that are meaningful and built to last.
  • Is Emotionally Attuned: You are a good listener, collaborative, and approach both clients and colleagues with genuine empathy, warmth, and care.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the team in the design and delivery of bespoke, narrative-led residential projects.
  • Support the team in navigating complex heritage and listed building planning applications.
  • Model Making, 3D printing, and support studio's CGI / visualisations (Sketch-up, Enscape, Rhino, grass-hopper, and other unique software SCULPA uses).
  • Supporting the production of 2D and 3D digital drawing packages with other members of the studio, using software including Vectorworks and Sketch-up.
  • Integrate innovative and sustainable technologies.
  • Assist and contribute to the studio’s social media platforms.
  • Contribute to the studio's culture and growth during this exciting foundational phase.

Why SCULPA?

  • Competitive London Salary: We believe in attracting and rewarding the best talent.
  • Medical Insurance: We believe in ensuring staff wellbeing and health are always attended to as soon as possible.
  • Direct Mentorship: 20 years of high-end residential experience to learn from.
  • Training: Weekly dedicated training and personal development including a yearly CPD programme.
  • Innovation-Led: Work with the latest tools, from VR to sustainable tech integration.
  • Growth: Be part of a practice that is scaling quickly but maintains a boutique, personal feel.
  • Design District Studio: We are based in a vibrant design community in North Greenwich.
