We are keen to speak with ambitious and motivated candidates up to 3 years’ PQE, and after initial training will be able to hit the ground running, within our Chambers Legal Directory and Legal 500 ranked team. This is a full-time position and would require attending our offices for weekly team days and meeting with clients. The candidate will have the ability to travel as our work covers courts across the country.
We are famous for delivering five-star service and are rated as excellent in Glasgow, Hamilton and Edinburgh. We are a dynamic and forward-thinking firm and are looking for someone to join us who can assist us in continuing to provide excellent client service and who shares our culture and values. Our values are care, dynamism, integrity, passion and client focus.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Litigation experience within criminal courts - summary level essential / solemn experience preferable, but not essential.
- Team player - need to be able to work well with others. Lone wolfs need not apply.
- Understanding & want to deliver “excellent client care”.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
- Previous experience running their own case load is preferable.
- Hold valid drivers licence, and be willing to travel to different courts.
What type of work would I be doing?
Please also note that the position would be dealing exclusively with privately funded matters as we no longer take on Legal Aid instructions. The perks of this are that the late night calls and weekend visits to the police stations normally associated with the job are rare and uncommon! This means we get to prepare files fully in advance, which allows us to give our clients the time and effort their defence deserves.

- Private health scheme
- Life assurance
- Income protection
- Bonus scheme
- And more!
As our team are very important to us, we celebrate and reward our staff regularly and have staff days out.
