Founded in 1910, Scudamore's is Cambridge's premier punt tour and boat hire company, and we are all about creating unforgettable memories for our visitors. We are now seeking friendly Cashier and Customer Service Representatives to join our close-knit, hardworking team. You will be responsible for handling transactions, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our punting business.
We are open all year round and operate a rolling recruitment programme, with full and part-time roles on offer. No experience is necessary as full training is provided, with regular training courses running every month.
What’s involved:
- As a Cashier at Scudamores, you will act as a host to our guests on station, ensuring they feel looked after and valued.
- Operate a welcoming, efficient and courteous ticketing and information service.
- Bring a high level of accuracy and security to payment handling and station administration.
- Keep track of the tour schedule and self-hire craft as well as help customers to board and disembark.
- Maintain a safe working environment for all.

About You:
What makes you a Scudamores Cashier? A Cashier serving Scudamores is always working on behalf of our clients and working together with other team members. To successfully fill this role requires the following aptitudes, behaviours and skills:
- You enjoy engaging with people and take pride in providing outstanding customer service.
- You have a friendly personality and can build rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
- You are quick to apply new skills but will accept help from team members when required.
- You are proactive, reliable and diligent.
- You are comfortable working outdoors and around water.
Availability:
This is entirely up to you! We’re open all year round and offer both full-time and part-time hours. Some staff work full-time all year round, while others with family, study or other commitments come to us mainly at weekends or during holiday periods.
