Assembly Operative (Nights)

Mego is working with a client in Plymouth who values detail, discipline, and individuals who take quiet pride in doing things right the first time.

They are looking to hire a night shift Assembly Operator to join their team — someone comfortable working behind the scenes but aware of the vital role they play in the bigger picture.

What Your Nights Might Look Like

You will be assembling mechanical parts carefully and accurately, with a focus on quality and safety. Over time, you will also test these parts to meet customer specifications (training provided). You will log your progress, meet hourly targets, and report any issues if something isn’t functioning correctly. Additionally, you will help maintain a tidy workspace and suggest small improvements to streamline processes.

We\’re Looking For Someone Who

• Has previous experience in a similar role, ideally within manufacturing
• Can confidently follow written instructions
• Can stay focused and meet production targets independently
• Is flexible, adaptable, and willing to assist when needed
• Works well with others, even if they are quiet or reserved
• Can resolve minor issues independently
• Is open to occasional overtime if required

It\’s a Bonus If You Also Have

• Experience with industrial paint spraying
• A forklift license
• Confidence in using and reading measuring tools

Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Salary: £33,387.90 (inclusive of shift premium)
