What’s the opportunity?
If you’re all about making the people around you smile and delivering a great service for customers then you could be the perfect fit for us. All you need in order to apply is a Category C1 vehicle licence, a driver digital tachograph card and the relevant drivers CPC qualification (certificate of professional competence). We’ll sort the rest! Previous furniture delivery experience can be a benefit, but we find personality and the ability to learn new skills more important.
What does the role involve?
- Delivering and installing furniture in customers’ homes
- Working through a delivery schedule with the support of your crew mate
- Work as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles
- Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback
- Making sure the team is safe by carrying out checks and driving safely
- Work 44 hours over 4 days with every Sunday off. Flexibility would be required in peak periods
- Heavy lifting
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience within a driving role
- Category C1 vehicle licence
- Driver digital tachograph card
- Relevant drivers CPC qualification (certificate of professional competence)
- Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements of operating a vehicle and is familiar with the use and regulation of tachographs
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow process and procedures
- Strives to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
- Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling as this role involves heavy lifting
- Hard working
- Team player
- Experience in a warehouse environment (desirable)
