We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This is an exciting role in the business and will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn and achieve personal growth within a fast-paced business.
What’s the opportunity?
The Management Accountant is responsible for directly assisting the Senior Management Accountant, to produce timely, accurate monthly management accounts and departmental reports to strict deadlines; cash reporting and assist in preparing company budgets.
What does the role involve?
- Assist the Senior Management Accountant in the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports for the Senior Leadership Team
- Analysis and review of detailed P&L accounts with narrative against budget and prior year
- P&L reviews for actuals and budget, attend and take lead in quarterly reviews with responsible head office budget holders
- Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and timely resolution of issues as appropriate
- Production of weekly management reports (bookings and deliveries) for issue to senior managers and Directors
- Accurately and reliably producing key information and financials
- Develop a strong working relationship within the finance team to jointly achieve key goals
- Accruals and prepayments
- Assist with cash reporting and treasury management
- Assist Senior Management Accountant with other projects and ad-hoc tasks
Who are we looking for?
- CIMA/ACCA Qualification or equivalent, will consider AAT or CIMA part qualified if also have relevant experience.
- Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
- Broad range of skills acquired through academic studies, work experience to date
- Proactive with strong organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels
- Ability to prioritise workload to achieve tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
