What does the role involve?
- Provide pragmatic, proactive HR advice to managers and colleagues in line with employment legislation, company policies, and best practices.
- Manage employee relations casework (e.g., disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence) from start to resolution, ensuring consistency and fairness.
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures across the organisation.
- Partner with line managers to promote good people management practices and build confidence in dealing with people issues.
- Monitor sickness and absence trends and support the application of absence management procedures, including return-to-work processes and referrals to occupational health.
- Analyse HR data reports to support decision-making and identify trends or areas of concern.
- Assist with organisation-wide initiatives, such as performance reviews, employee engagement and wellbeing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and ensure HR practices reflect legal and regulatory changes.
- Support the onboarding and offboarding process, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
- Collaborate with the wider People Team to deliver HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support the Central HR Admin Team with queries and ensure a helpdesk SLA’s are met.
- Act as a role model for the company’s values and behaviours, fostering a positive, inclusive work culture.
- Assist the People Lead and Business Partner’s when necessary.
- Ensure changes to pay and benefits are given to Payroll.
