The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

The Receptionist will work closely together with the Office Manager and support the administrative tasks for the Tunnels & Shafts compounds/sites. The Receptionist will be located at Braitrim House (NW10 6NB), but may be required to cover on an ad hoc basis (other sites) as & when required. This is not a hybrid position; the Receptionist will need to be on site full time.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Liaising between Tunnels & Shafts (main) and compounds
  • General office duties including control of stationery/reprographic equipment
  • Maintenance of email distribution lists
  • Maintenance of Visitors Register and liaison with Site Security
  • Receive, log, and distribute/dispatch postal deliveries
  • Assist with production/collation of ad hoc reports/presentations
  • Adherence to SCS policies and procedures
  • Ad hoc duties as job requires
  • First contact on site - Meeting & Greeting Customers/Suppliers/Colleagues
  • Maintaining H&S standards and procedures
  • Reporting eventual faults or needs, following up
  • Carryout periodical H&S inspections and maintain accurate records
  • Organising meetings / booking rooms, updating access lists
  • Parking permits (creating permits, updating lists, interact with other compound car parks)
  • Procurement (evaluating needs, creating requisitions, supporting deliveries, dealing with receipts)
  • Communication with site services
  • Attend Site Administration Meetings

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Competent IT skills - Experience of Microsoft Office essential
  • Training will be given on bespoke software applications
  • Excellent communication skills / telephone manner
  • Professional and congenial approach

About The Company:

The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services.

The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
