We are currently recruiting for a Document Controller to join our IT & Data team here at SCS Railways. Reporting to the Document Control Manager, your role will involve documenting and distributing all project specific information & data via the project document management system.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Control and distribute documentation & data in accordance with the requirements of the project.
  • Liaise between the Project team, Design team, trade contractors and other external parties on document management issues.
  • Maintain the document management system with regards to updating and modifying some areas of the master data and system set up.
  • Assist in the training of new starters on the project on the Electronic Data Management System (EDMS) Assetwise.
  • Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience of Document Control procedures and systems.
  • Experience in using eB/Assetwise.
  • Communicate positively with clarity and understanding.
  • Experience of working within project environments and across all stages of a project lifecycle.

This role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services.
