SCS Railways are creating an exemplar site to showcase construction methods, training, technology and equipment, demonstrating best practice and innovation across our strategic priorities. The gateway to our industry leading facility will be the ‘Welcome Centre’, an inviting and modern space to host new staff, visitors and training candidates for their onward journey to the Induction and Visitor Centre, Training Academy and ‘Breathe’ our dedicated tunnel safety training suite.
Fundamental to the success of these combined operations, the successful candidate will be approachable, a team player and must have excellent communication skills to assist in liaising with our staff, sub-contractors and visitors.

Role Responsibility
- Administration in relation to the access control uploading and verifying documents
- Managing the induction day for the project
- Troubleshooting with supply chain organizational administrators
- Maintaining the induction email box daily
- Verifications and checking of profiles for induction
- Action vetting clearance emails
- Maintain all induction processes via the Engage process and create the documents
- Maintain the procurement approval process before adding a new supply chain to the system
- Briefing and guidance to the project team, subcontractors, suppliers and 3rd parties on any developments to the system
- Representing SCS to ensure that the joint venture’s interests and commitment for security and safety are aligned with their needs
- Reporting any breaches or abuse of the system and escalation to the Security Systems Manager
- Driving innovation and the upskilling of the project team in all security systems matters and continuous improvement
- Support the wider Health Safety and Security team in the rollout of specific Health and Safety briefings and behavioral change program ‘Love for Life’

Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working within a fast paced environment and team

About the Company: The role will work on the HS2 project. HS2 is the UK’s new high speed rail network. It will be a catalyst for economic growth across Britain, freeing up space on the existing railways and connecting 8 out of the UK’s 10 biggest cities with fast, reliable and frequent high speed services. The Skanska | Costain | STRABAG (SCS JV) is delivering the HS2 London Tunnels Contract. Scope of works includes twin-bored tunnels (TBM), SCL tunnels, shaft sinking, bridge demolition and reconstruction, services diversions, earthworks and the construction of site compounds.
