We are seeking a Head of Project Controls (Performance & Assurance) to join our team on the HS2 Main Works Civils Contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Project Controls Team to ensure the successful delivery of a major project. You will report directly to the Project Management Office Director.
The project utilizes an Integrated Project Team (IPT) approach, where the client and contractor collaborate closely on a daily basis within an embedded team.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop strategies, initiatives, and recommendations for effective, data-driven delivery solutions.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and reliability of information in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Oversee continuous improvement of Project Controls processes and systems.
- Lead technical and program presentations to clients, partners, and suppliers regarding project progress, including earned value, cost performance, challenges, and concerns.
- Foster a culture that encourages positive project challenges to meet program targets.
- Stay informed about innovations and best practices in Project Controls; evaluate and implement beneficial practices on the project.
- Manage statutory requirements affecting the Joint Ventures' operations and ensure compliance within the discipline.
- Support the growth of the team by promoting a diverse and inclusive culture.
- Provide guidance and support to the project controls team, developing their skills and competencies.
- Champion health, safety, and wellbeing activities.
- Adhere to SCS policies and procedures.
