The predicted salary is between 40000 - 50000 £ per year.

This is a key role to control the Coordination of Earthwork Materials delivery and removal. This person is to manage the calling off of any earthwork materials & mucking away activities across the various assets on SCS for Structures & earthworks East. This person will be managing the day to day logistics inside the boundary from the gate to the point of work and relevant stockpile locations, managing requisitions, delivery receipts / notes / waste transfer notes and allocating costs and in addition to this producing forecasts & managing requests from the site team as a single point of contact.

Role Responsibility:

  • To act as the Area East (Structures & Earthworks East) Earthworks Materials Coordinator
  • Calling off Earthwork Materials and Earthwork Muck away Wagons upon request from site team
  • Coordination of multiple Deliveries or wagons from various requests and then directing to the correct locations or assets on site.
  • Ensuring the safe operation of logistics internally within the boundary on site
  • Coordinating other deliveries as and when required and directed
  • Collation of delivery notes, waste transfer notes (paper and electronic) and then allocation of these to the appropriate assets and raised requisitions through cost coding
  • Provide information for the requisition of up to date materials on call off for site
  • Manage and track the material forecasts of future requirements from the requests of the site team.
  • Ensuring daily SOS planning meeting is attended and all relevant site requirements for earthworks material are planned & booked for the following day & weeks
  • Be single point of contact with Earthwork material and wagon Suppliers
  • Provide information for the submission and update the SCS HS2 Materials Tracking Document by the logistics team
  • Supervise and manage all site access / egress points for vehicle movements.
  • Ensure all staff competencies are reviewed and in line with SCS requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Skill in using various IT Software Packages such as Email and Excel.
  • Have experience working in a heavy civil engineering environment, either with a main contractor or specialist subcontractor.
  • Highly effective communicator.
  • Previous experience in management of Deliveries.
  • Preferably an industry accredited safety training eg. CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
  • Experience in tunneling, earthworks and Concrete would be of advantage
