Job Description Java Developer Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time Security Clearance: SC cleared or SC eligible (candidates must hold SC clearance or be eligible to obtain it) Start Date: ASAP We are looking for a talented Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development and maintenance of high-performance applications. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Java and is enthusiastic about working with the latest tools and frameworks. You will play a critical role in building scalable, high-quality software solutions. Application development: Design, develop and implement Java applications using modern development tools and best practice. ? Code quality: Write clean, scalable code and take part in code reviews to maintain quality. ? Debugging and testing: Identify, troubleshoot and fix defects, and carry out unit and integration tests. ? Performance optimisation: Make sure applications are optimised for speed, scalability and performance. ? Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Java: Strong hands-on experience with Java SE and Java EE, writing efficient and effective code. ? Databases: Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle or PostgreSQL, and experience writing SQL queries. ? APIs and web services: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON and XML. ? Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. ? Knowledge of Front End technologies such as JavaScript, Angular or React. ? Experience working in an Agile development environment. ? Java certifications, such as Oracle Certified Professional.
