Role Overview We are looking for a Lead Infrastructure Engineer to support, maintain and optimise the BMC Helix platform suite and the AutoSys Workload Automation estate, providing infrastructure engineering expertise and technical leadership across critical tooling services. This is a hands‑on, delivery-focused role operating in structured and governed environments where service availability, stability and operational effectiveness are critical. Location: Manchester or Birmingham Salary: £70,000 Contract type: Permanent Clearance: Active SC clearance required Key Responsibilities Support, maintain and optimise the BMC Helix suite, including Helix Operations Manager (BHOM), Helix Capacity Optimisation (BHCO) and Helix Discovery Maintain operational support for the AutoSys Workload Automation estate Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions supporting Flexera SaaS integration Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise to keep strategic workstreams moving while maintaining BAU services Drive service improvement activities to maximise value from the Helix implementation Support service availability, stability and operational effectiveness across tooling services Contribute to out-of-hours support arrangements and improve team resilience Participate in the out-of-hours support rota Support and guide operational teams Essential Skills
