<\/p><\/li><\/ul>Role Overview<\/b><\/span><\/h2>We are seeking a Lead Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high -performing backend systems. This role involves leading engineering teams, making architectural decisions, and ensuring best practices across development lifecycle. Experience working in standards -driven environments, including exposure to GDS -aligned projects, is valuable.<\/p><\/div>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Lead the design and development of backend systems using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot<\/b><\/li>Define and implement scalable microservices architecture<\/b><\/li>Own technical design, architecture, and system integrations<\/li>Guide and mentor a team of backend developers<\/li>Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, and stakeholders<\/li>Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices, and performance benchmarks<\/li>Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices<\/b><\/li>Review code, enforce quality standards, and manage technical debt<\/li>Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team capability building<\/li>Ensure solutions align with organizational and regulatory standards where applicable<\/li><\/ul><\/div>Required Skills & Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot ecosystem<\/b><\/li>Proven experience in technical leadership or team lead role<\/b><\/li>Deep understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and system design<\/b><\/li>Experience designing and building RESTful APIs at scale<\/b><\/li>Hands -on experience with: <\/div>Hibernate / JPA<\/li>Messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)<\/li><\/ul><\/li>Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP<\/b>)<\/li>Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes<\/b>, and container orchestration<\/li>Expertise in database design (SQL & NoSQL<\/b>)<\/li>Strong understanding of security, scalability, and performance optimization<\/b><\/li>Experience with Agile/Scrum and modern development practices<\/li><\/ul><\/div>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Experience in large -scale digital platforms or regulated environments (including exposure to GDS -aligned delivery standards)<\/li>Familiarity with DevOps tools and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)<\/li>Strong understanding of system observability (logging, monitoring, tracing)<\/li>Relevant certifications in Java, cloud, or architecture<\/li><\/ul><\/div>Soft Skills<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Strong leadership and decision -making abilities<\/li>Excellent communication and stakeholder management<\/li>Ability to drive technical vision and influence teams<\/li>Problem -solving mindset with attention to detail<\/li><\/ul>Our interview process<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>We keep things straightforward.
