  Role Overview<\/b><\/span><\/h2>We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot to design and build scalable, secure, and high -performance backend systems. The ideal candidate should have experience working on large -scale digital platforms, including exposure to public sector or standards -driven environments such as GDS -aligned projects.<\/p>Key Responsibilities<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java (8/11/17+) and Spring Boot<\/b><\/li>Build and manage RESTful APIs and microservices architectures<\/b><\/li>Collaborate with cross -functional teams including frontend, DevOps, and product stakeholders<\/li>Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices<\/li>Ensure application performance, scalability, and security<\/li>Contribute to system design and architecture decisions<\/li>Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in deployment processes<\/li>Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members<\/li><\/ul>Required Skills & Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Strong hands -on experience with Java and Spring Boot<\/b><\/li>Solid understanding of microservices architecture<\/b><\/li>Experience building and consuming REST APIs<\/b><\/li>Familiarity with Hibernate / JPA<\/b><\/li>Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ<\/b><\/li>Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP<\/b><\/li>Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes<\/b><\/li>Strong database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.<\/b>)<\/li>Understanding of secure coding practices and application performance tuning<\/li>Experience with Git and Agile methodologies<\/li><\/ul>Preferred Qualifications<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Experience working in regulated or standards -driven environments (e.g., public sector digital services or GDS -aligned projects)<\/li>Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, etc.)<\/li>Relevant certifications in Java or cloud platforms<\/li><\/ul>Soft Skills<\/b><\/span><\/h2>Strong analytical and problem -solving abilities<\/li>Good communication and collaboration skills<\/li>Ability to work independently and in team environments<\/li>Mentorship and leadership mindset<\/li><\/ul>Our interview process<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>We keep things straightforward.
