Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior QAT Engineer (SFIA Level 5) to lead quality assurance activities across complex digital transformation programmes. You will be responsible for defining testing strategies, driving automation excellence, mentoring QAT engineers, and ensuring quality standards are embedded across multiple delivery teams. This role requires strong technical expertise combined with leadership capabilities to influence quality practices at programme level.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement end-to-end testing strategies and quality frameworks.
- Design, develop, and maintain complex automated testing solutions.
- Lead test planning, execution, and reporting activities across multiple teams.
- Manage test environments and support release assurance processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across testing and automation practices.
- Mentor and support QAT engineers and promote best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout delivery.
- Provide technical leadership on testing approaches, tooling, and quality governance.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance leadership.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience developing and executing enterprise-scale test strategies.
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence quality standards.
- Experience mentoring and supporting engineering teams.
