We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture and digital transformation strategy for large-scale digital case management platforms. This role will drive cloud-first, API-driven, and microservices-based architectures while ensuring security, compliance, and seamless integration with legacy and modernized systems. As an Enterprise Architect, you will provide technical leadership, define enterprise architecture principles, and oversee the design and implementation of high-performance applications supporting legal and dispute resolution processes. You will work closely with policymakers, digital teams, and local councils to ensure strategic alignment with government digital transformation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Architecture & Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement enterprise architecture principles, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps for digital case management platforms.
- Ensure architectural alignment with public sector digital transformation frameworks.
- Provide leadership in cloud-first, API-first, and microservices-driven architecture.
- Solution Design & Digital Transformation
- Oversee the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance applications supporting case management and dispute resolution.
- Drive automation, AI-based case triaging, and data-driven decision-making.
- Establish API-first integration models with legacy and modernized systems.
- Governance, Security & Compliance
- Define and enforce security architecture best practices in compliance with GDPR, Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, and other regulatory requirements.
- Ensure auditability, legal evidence tracking, and secure workflows in digital case management systems.
- Champion risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Stakeholder Management & Team Leadership
- Collaborate with internal leadership, policymakers, digital teams, and external stakeholders.
- Act as a technical advisor to executive stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with business and policy objectives.
- Mentor and guide Solution Architects and Engineering teams to uphold architectural best practices.
Minimum Requirements
- Enterprise Architecture Expertise – Minimum 12+ years in large-scale digital transformation programs, preferably in the government or legal tech domain.
- Cloud Expertise – Deep experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on security, scalability, and high availability.
- API & Integration – Proven expertise in RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and API Gateway management (APIM, Kong, MuleSoft, WSO2).
- Digital Case Management – Strong background in justice, legal workflow automation, or dispute resolution platforms.
- Security & Compliance – Expertise in GDPR, OpenID Connect, OAuth, zero-trust security models.
- Agile & DevOps Leadership – Experience in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevSecOps practices.
- Data Analytics & AI – Experience in machine learning models, AI-based automation, and data-driven architecture.
- Experience in public sector digital transformation programs (e.g., MoJ, HMCTS, DWP, Home Office).
- Understanding of property dispute laws, rental reforms, and housing regulations.
