We are looking for a Junior Interaction Designer to support the design and iteration of digital services during the Beta phase. This role focuses on creating user-centred design solutions based on research insights, while collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will contribute to designing intuitive user journeys, improving task flows, and supporting usability testing to enhance the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support prototype design and iteration throughout the Beta phase
- Create and refine user journeys, page flows, and task flows based on user insights and evidence
- Translate research findings into practical design improvements
- Assist in preparing and updating prototypes using design tools
- Support user testing activities across multiple service areas
- Collaborate with user researchers, product managers, and developers
- Contribute to maintaining consistent design patterns and standards
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative design processes
- Work with wider UCD teams to ensure a cohesive user experience
- Basic experience or strong understanding of interaction design / UX design principles
- Ability to design user flows, wireframes, and low-to-mid fidelity prototypes
- Familiarity with user-centred design (UCD) practices
- Understanding of how to apply user research insights into design decisions
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies
- Experience with tools such as FigJam, Figma, or similar design tools
- Exposure to prototyping tools such as GOV.UK Prototype Kit or equivalent
- Basic understanding of web design and usability standards
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
