The Lead Business Relationship Manager (Lead BRM) serves as a strategic partner between business functions and technology/service delivery teams. This role is responsible for building trusted stakeholder relationships, aligning business priorities with organisational capabilities, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring delivery of business value. The Lead BRM oversees a portfolio of business relationships, mentors BRMs, and influences investment decisions, roadmaps, and transformation programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Act as the primary trusted advisor for senior business leaders. Develop deep understanding of business strategies, objectives, challenges, and opportunities. Translate business goals into actionable initiatives and technology‑enabled solutions. Facilitate strategic planning sessions and business capability assessments. Drive alignment between business priorities and enterprise strategy.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders and key decision‑makers. Serve as the escalation point for business concerns and service‑related issues. Foster collaboration across business units, IT, operations, and external partners. Conduct regular stakeholder reviews and business value assessments.
  • Demand & Portfolio Management: Manage business demand intake and prioritise initiatives based on strategic value. Partner with PMO, product teams, and leadership to maintain investment roadmaps. Evaluate business cases, ROI, risks, and resource requirements. Ensure projects and programmes align with organisational objectives.
  • Value Realisation & Transformation: Identify opportunities for innovation, process optimisation, and digital transformation. Champion continuous improvement initiatives across business functions. Track and measure business outcomes, KPIs, and value realisation. Advocate for business initiatives within governance and leadership forums.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead and mentor Business Relationship Managers and Business Analysts. Establish BRM best practices, governance frameworks, and engagement models. Support talent development, coaching, and performance management. Promote a culture of customer‑centricity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Risk & Governance: Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and governance standards. Identify and mitigate business and operational risks. Participate in steering committees and executive governance boards. Support business continuity and change management activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Business Relationship Management, Account Management, Consulting, Program Management, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience managing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading strategic transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, technology solutions, and organisational change management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MBA or equivalent).
  • Certification in BRMP, CBRM, PMP, Agile, ITIL, or related disciplines.
  • Experience working in global and matrix organisations.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, cloud, AI, analytics, or enterprise platforms.
