Role Overview

The Senior HR Generalist will oversee and support a broad range of HR activities across the business, including employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance, learning and development, employee engagement, and HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries.
    • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
    • Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary procedures, investigations, and conflict resolution.
    • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
    • Support the development of a positive, collaborative, and high-performing workplace culture.
  • Performance Management
    • Support and manage performance management processes across the business.
    • Assist managers in setting objectives, KPIs, and development plans.
    • Coordinate performance reviews and support performance improvement initiatives.
    • Promote continuous feedback and employee development practices.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes alongside hiring managers.
    • Support workforce planning and hiring activities across the business.
    • Develop effective strategies to attract and retain top digital and technology talent.
    • Coordinate candidate sourcing, interviews, offer management, and onboarding activities.
    • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
    • Build and maintain talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Policy, Compliance & HR Operations
    • Ensure HR policies and procedures remain up to date and compliant with UK employment legislation.
    • Maintain employee records, HR systems, contracts, and GDPR compliance.
    • Support payroll and benefits administration processes.
    • Ensure compliance with employment law, health and safety requirements, and internal governance standards.
  • Learning & Development
    • Partner with managers to identify training and development needs.
    • Support the implementation of learning and development programmes.
    • Promote career development and continuous learning opportunities across the organisation.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Strategic HR Support
    • Collaborate with leadership to align people initiatives with business goals.
    • Support workforce planning and organisational development activities.
    • Contribute to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
    • Help build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CIPD Level 5 (essential); CIPD Level 7 (desirable).
  • Proven HR generalist experience within the UK (5+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, interviewing, candidate assessment, onboarding, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience within a consultancy, technology, or fast-growing organisation is desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proactive, approachable, and solutions-focused mindset.
