Job Description Overview : We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Digital Performance Analyst to join our digital delivery teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in shaping and improving digital services by delivering high-quality data analysis, developing performance frameworks, and generating actionable insights that align with the Government’s Digital by Default (GDaD) Service Standard. As part of a multi-disciplinary Agile team, the Performance Analyst will work closely with product managers, designers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making that enhances user experience and drives continuous service improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain performance frameworks and identify meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate digital service performance. Create clear, insightful data visualizations and dashboards to communicate key metrics to stakeholders. Lead performance reporting and deliver in-depth analysis of web analytics, customer behavior, and other data sources. Collaborate with Agile product teams to influence the product roadmap using evidence-based insights. Continuously monitor, evaluate, and iterate digital services based on quantitative evidence and testing results. Validate and assure the implementation of web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), ensuring accurate and trustworthy data capture. Identify and integrate additional data sources to enhance performance measurement and understanding of user journeys. Translate complex data into compelling narratives and actionable business insights that support user-centric design decisions. Interpret A/B and multivariate testing to assess service changes and drive iterative improvements. Mentor and support other team members to build digital performance analysis capability Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Performance Analyst or in a similar data-driven role within an Agile delivery environment. Strong knowledge and experience with web analytics tools, especially Google Analytics. Ability to design, implement, and communicate performance metrics and KPIs effectively. Skilled in creating data visualizations and dashboards using tools like Google Data Studio, Power BI, or similar. Experience in SQL for data extraction and transformation. Ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in user-centred design environments, working alongside researchers, designers, analysts, and delivery teams. Understanding of the Digital by Default Service Standard and how performance analysis supports compliance and improvement. Ability to validate and assure analytical implementations and findings, ensuring statistical robustness. Strong communication and storytelling skills, translating data insights into practical recommendations. Desirable Experience mentoring or coaching colleagues to develop analytical capability. Familiarity with GDS (Government Digital Service) standards and frameworks.
